Entry #1

Each day, as we grew closer, we heard reports of more disappearances, trampled fences and maimed, half-eaten wildlife. When we were a day away, a child appeared, walking through the forest. Her left arm severed at her shoulder. She bleed out in the commanders arms. That's when he ordered we ride through the night. A drastic step to close the distance, leaving the formation exposed to all sites.

The last thing I remembered is galloping through ravine in pitch black darkness, when a flying rock reduced my horses head to fragments.

I expect this journal to be found by rangers after no reply is given from our unit. After what happened, they should have no problems following our tracks. Attached to this journal is detailed description of this little predicament
